Entry 1

[OOC: This journal is best read from the first post (Preface) moving forward in time]

Today was indeed a momentus day! It seems as though I was prompted to begin this journal just to record today's events!

The day began mundanely enough. I decided to practice my Carpentry trade for a time and help out the Ironforge Exchange with some of their Rush Orders -- I don't know why they need so much furnature so quickly, but the pay is good enough and it lets me practice my skills.

And so there I was, when a call went out. My companions of The League and I adventured into the depts of the Silent City, a still terrifying place. In our past trips, we had almost ammassed enough of the Eyes of the undead there to enter the Fountain of Life. And tonight, we managed to get the final eye, and so we entered the fountain of life, the domain of the legendary Godking.

The place was rife with undead skeletons and gnolls. After defeating the gnolls' captain, we began to destroy the undead in an effort to reach the foul Godking. With everyone we destoryed, the Godking was weakened as they ressurrected. And then, the Godking abandoned his undead minions, who were clearly not capable of defeating our stalwart company, and concentrated his effort into ressurecting his faithful gnoll captain. It was another raging battle as the captain called all his followers in to assist him, but again he was no match for us, we quickly overpowered him and his copatriots.

And then the Godking began to fear. He summoned his Power and his Armor to him, greatly enchancing the abilities he had left. But his time had come. We destroyed his power, robbing him of one of his greatest attacked, and shattered his armor, leaving him exposed. And then, with one final blow, he fell. The immortal had fallen, and his hold over the waters of Fyr'Un was dashed. I filled my Vessel of Fyr'Un from the waters, and it took on a new life, becoming much more powerful than before.

At this point, it seemed as though the very ground of the Fountain of Life began to tremble. The Godking's undead minions began to pour back in, and I had no recourse but to call myself back to the safety of Qeynos. Just before I disappeared, I could of sworn that, out of the corner of my eye, I saw what I can only assume was the famed Ewer of Fyr'Un glimmer. A chill went down my spine, and then I knew that the Godking was not gone for good. The power of the Ewer was too great, it would resurrect him. I know I must find a way to destroy the Ewer for once and for all, and free the Silent City from the Godking's reign.
